Caring For Your Smile

Family Dentistry

The Croft Dental Centre are committed to dentistry for the whole family. NHS patients can register with any of our NHS dentists for professional and caring advice and treatment.

Xrays

One of the first things we will do when you visit our surgery is to take Xrays of your teeth and mouth. This helps us spot any problems that may not have yet surfaced, and helps us assess exactly how much care and treatment you may need in the future.

Hygienist Services

Croft Dental Centre offer hygienist services to all patients. Simply ask for a special appointment at reception. Attending hygienist appointments is a good way to give extra care to your oral health.

Caring for your smile

We understand how worrying it can be to go for your check-up. We will take that worry away for you! Our understanding nurses and caring dentists are all fully trained and will always treat nervous patients with the greatest of care.

Please make an appointment for a check up at least once every six months.

Fillings / Extractions

Fillings and extractions are performed on a daily basis at the surgery, so you will know you are in caring hands. We always try and avoid extractions, as your teeth are important in supporting your jaw and extractions can affect eating and speaking. Our fillings are tooth-coloured.

Caring for your teeth at home

We believe, and encourage you to believe, that it is much better to care for your teeth than to have dental surgery. So don't forget to brush twice a day. If we are asked 'Do I have to floss all my teeth?' our reply is 'yes, all the ones you want to keep!

Use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash. Use a mouthguard if you play sports. Always attend your dental check-ups. We will send you a reminder in plenty of time.
